JR gave a nod of understanding “Yeah for sure.” He said as he walked towards the front doors of the hospital, passing by a guy that had just came out of the building. The sliding doors opened for the pair, and they were welcomed by the front desk, occupied by a security guard and hospital clerk.
She pulled the car to a stop and watched him hop out. She grabbed her phone and dialled Alex and waited as the phone rang
Alex was still sitting outside of the smoothie shop, almost done with his smoothie. His phone started ringing so he took it out of his pocket. It was Margaret! He accepted the call and said, "Hi Margaret." in his usual flirty voice.
While JR went on ahead, he spoke with the clerk and was given the usual directions of where he could be checked out by a nurse. Since his mother used to work at the hospital, he was rather familiar with some of the staff. Before JR headed to an exam room in the ER, he took one of the flyers from the desk that piqued his interest and gave a look around for Margaret, but she still remained in the car. I guess we’ll catch up in a bit.
“Hey Alex. I don’t think I’ll make lunch today. Im at the hospital with someone at the moment and I have to give them a lift so I’ll um talk to you later” she spoke hurriedly glancing around anxiously for JR, she’d go see him once she got off the phone
"Ok," He said sounding a bit disappointed. "See ya," He said and hung up.
Margaret switched off her phone and grabbed her purse hurrying into the waiting room “sorry JR, I was just on the phone to one of my friends letting him know I won’t make it for lunch” she explained sliding into a seat beside him
Alex dialed Terk to let him know that Margaret wasn't coming. (@Lacy Duckwing )
Terk had just refilled his moping bucket when he felt his phone vibrate in his back pocket. He got it out and answered. "Hello?"
