It definitely won’t be my family coming” she joked “they think they’re wayyy too good for that. Maybe I’ll invite a few friends.” Her eyes flickered from the brochure he held to him “maybe you’d like to join us? If we end up going that is.”
She looked up as the doctor entered “okay well I’ll see you when you get out.”

JR raised an eyebrow, curious by what she meant about her family being too good, but he let the thought fade away, drawn to her invite. He rubbed the back of his head shyly, feeling mixed about the event. “I’d really love to, but I’m not so big on being around large crowds… but we try hanging out afterwards or something? I’d really like to make friends with you” JR grinned at the last sentence and stood up to meet with the nurse, “Yeah I’ll be back in a few.” He parted ways with Margaret and left into one of the rooms.

“Sounds like a plan” she grinned “we can totally hang out after.” She watched him go feeling happy
 
Max started cleaning up the ranch and setting up the tables. He helped clean the horses and went inside and took a shower. After he was done checked the horses to see if they were healthy. when he was done he went inside and went to sleep.

It was about 30 minutes later until JR came back out, with fresh bandages on his scrapes and a small bottle of pain relievers in his hand. The nurse and doctor followed him out, “Be sure to tell your mom I said hi, JR!” the doctor told him enthusiastically with a cheerful smile on her face. “And watch out for cars” the male nurse added playfully.
JR gave them both a toothy grin and waved goodbye, “Yeah for sure! Thanks.” he said, coming back towards Margaret. “So I’ll be good, just might have some bruising and soreness later.” he informed her, rattling the pill bottle in his hand, “I’m all set.”

She looked relieved and set the magazine she had been flicking through down “thank goodness it wasn’t more serious” she said.

"Yeah, same here" JR agreed, "My mom would have exploded on me if it was" he laughed off, starting towards the front of the hospital.
