Ascites Draining

Pics
Hi. I just read through this entire thread. Please try to calm down, as your hen might sense your excitement and get stressed. Is she inside with you? First and foremost, make sure she is warm. I would stop poking and prodding at her and let her rest. I fear the end may be coming. Can she sleep with her friends tonight or is she too unwell? Maybe you could bring a friend in to keep her company? Does she have a best friend?

I only have three hens left, they all live in the garage at night. So she isn’t alone. It isn’t cold and I’m relaxed now. She has been lifting her head slightly like she is trying to get air. She has pooped but they aren’t normal, very liquidy. I will send a picture

Here it is, not the best quality but I don’t want to bother her.

Oh, good. I’m glad she has company and that you are able to relax a little. Perhaps she aspirated herself a bit with the vomiting. It sounds like her crop may be slowing down, as well. Can you check it in the morning?
Her crop definitely seems to have been slowing down. I noticed that in the morning there is still a small amount of stuff in it, maybe the size of a golf ball.

She hasn’t had throw up though, I’ve been reading many threads and this one seems like it https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...nd-now-in-respiratory-distress.1119656/page-3

They look better than some of the older poop photos. Are the urates as yellow as they look in the photos? If so, she might benefit from a little liver and kidney support. Is she eating on her own? My hens love that baby bird formula as a treat… they gobble it right up. Maybe in the morning you can offer her some in a little bowl with some of the aloe detox mixed in.

I drained the same way I have in the past though
I will say that I didn’t let her drip as much, it was getting dark and last time I drained it was getting dark and she got restless. What a stupid mistake, especially if she dies from it

That’s true, I will pick it up and see but I’m sure it has some yellow to it. I can’t see from looking at it.
She is slightly eating on her own, really she relies on me giving her her detox and herbs mixed with kaytee baby bird food.

I have hens that absolutely love it, she never has. I have tried scrambled eggs and cooked rice, she has sadly lost her drive to eat. She does drink on her own though

I think she lost her drive to eat because I kept giving her the baby bird food mix, I see her eating her feed though, not much but she does eat by herself. And she forages and scratches around eating grass.
