NEED HELP! My Golden Commets are approximately 27 weeks and have been laying pretty regularly. I noticed one, did not lay for 2 days and when checking on her yesterday, I found her back end covered with feces and the others started pecking at her. We immediately removed her from the pen and placed her in another small cage. We then soaked her in a warm water bath and cleaned her up the best we could. However I noticed a white substance around her vent area and all her feathers below the vent are gone! She is not red or swollen at all. I've read about "Egg Bound" and "Vent Gleet" but have not clue what is wrong with her. I've added some electrolytes to her water and started giving her some yogurt. PLEASE HELP.... what else should I be doing? I don't want to loose another!
