Asmalp Forest~An elf RP~•There's a storm coming, best ye be prepared.

Jess closed her book and extended her foot toward the ground, gingerly stepping from the crook of the tree. Then, book in hand, she trotted off toward the smell of wood smoke.

Tod ducked behind a tree as Aktura danced, being careful not be seen.

Aktura crouched low in the long grass, her spear in her hand. She had never successfully killed a wild horse before, but taday was different. She heard the distinctive clip, clip of hooves on pebbles. Her heart raced, this was it.Deciding to shoot from the air, Aktura leaped and cast her spear down to the horses head. Crack. Aktura still wasn't fully used to the sound of a spear penetrating the skull. Aktura grimaced, then smiled. She went to get her cart. When she returned to the horse's corpse she bowed in recognition of the horse's spirit, something she usually forgot to do. Aktura hoisted the massive body into her cart, though it wasn't easy. She took the cart back to camp, very pleased with herself.

Raven placed a mushroom in her now full basket and turned to the smell of smoke. "Come along," She said to Devlyn, running her hand over his horns and tousling his light blond hair.

Tod caught some sparks on tinder, tending the bit of life like a mother hovering over a dying baby. Suddenly it lept into life and devoured the tinder. Quickly Tod added more, then placed a small limb in the fast-growing fire.

Jess carried a dead rabbit by it's ears. She made her way slowly back to camp, stopping every now and then to listen to birdsong or watch an animal.

Smelling the fire, Aktura grabbed her full mushroom basket and some yams and headed towards the fire. She couldn't be bothered to make her own fire.

Hearing Aktura's footsteps, Todyn leapt away from the fire and disappeared behind a tree, leaving the little fire to fend for itself.

Jess appeared from the woods. "Who's asking?" she replied, warmly. "Hey, that's a nice fire you've got there." Jess walked in the very spot Tod had been just a moment before. He had almost literally vanished, leaving no trace in form of sound, sight, or smell.
