(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
When I was young, my sister and I cared for my grandmother's chickens and her two ducks. I loved it! It was so lovely caring for them, and I was impressed with how smart our chickens were.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None right now, but I plan on having chickens, ducks, geese, and eventually turkeys once we move out of this apartment and onto our own little slice of heaven.
(3) What breeds do you have?
None yet, but my grandma had a silkie-barred plymouth cross named Shortcake she bought at a flea market that I loved, She was so cute, a normal barred plymouth on top with a big POOF of feathers from below her wings and down. Almost like a gown!
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
My sister told me about the site My Pet Chicken, and I followed a link on that site to BackYardChickens when I had some questions I needed answering.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Canning, gardening, herbology, pretty much a slew of stuff I can't do in my apartment just yet. Until then I can dream. Anybody have advice on buying property? I also love video games, movies, and story writing, though I haven't written in forever.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a stay at home mom with one son, a husband, and a psycho cat that hates all women.
