x2 to everything 3KillerBs said. Nice thing too is this is a pretty big coop space so as long as you don't stuff it full of birds, your overall air volume will also help a lot with reducing the concentration of moisture and ammonia inside.

Thank you! The plan is for 12 chicks which appears to satisfy both the coop and run formulas for chick space.x2 to everything 3KillerBs said. Ditto Dat!The wall facing into the run is an ideal place to add more ventilation, as the roof and the run itself will help buffer and protect the vents. I'd consider maybe 2 top hinged windows similar to the one that you currently have (though I'd hinge it to open out) so that in case of strong storms, you can partially lower it to keep the elements out.
This is not very effective. Not my coop, but like this:

Ditto Dat!
I'd just do the windows under the run roof.
The overall volume of the barn will do much, time and observation will tell the tale.
Know that everything in the barn will probably become covered with dust from the coop.
This is not very effective.
Thanks. So you mean for now just put in one or two hinged windows in the wall of the coop that is flush with the run? Also — you are saying that the hinged opening on the top of the barn (as seen in the photo) would not be effective, correct?Ditto Dat!

Not a good one tho.serves as a general example.
Correct.
Not a good one tho.
Would you really recommend that design?
Not sure you could install an effective shape there.I recommend the positioning of the vent and having a top-hinged cover. The shape of the cover is awkward and less effective than desirable.
With 12 birds in that amount of space you should have far fewer issues simply because the air volume per bird is going to be higher than in most set ups.Thank you! The plan is for 12 chicks which appears to satisfy both the coop and run formulas for chick space.
Yup, exactly there. I'd aim for higher part of the wall as moisture/ammonia rises but the covered run will do most of the work in protecting those windows.Thanks. So you mean for now just put in one or two hinged windows in the wall of the coop that is flush with the run?
