This is why you need to find one that doesn't have bad side effects. This is why I use the Claritin RediTabs. You just put it under your tongue and let it dissolve. It will kick in within 15 minutes of taking it.

I won't take the other types such as Allegra, Xyrtec or Xyzal because they cause a fluttering in my chest and nervousness. Neither Claritin or the generic Flonase cause this symptom for me.

it is a side effect and should never be given to someone who already has high BP or heart rate

After the covid scare maybe he should talk to his Doc, see what his options are, all options, including do nothing and die, And let him pick how he wants to handle the problem. That way you aren't making him, he is in charge of making his own decision, and hopefully he makes a good one. But he has to make a decision and let everyone know what it is!!
