Hi so we had a muscovy hen sitting on a egg which was well over due. We had an internal pip but then very little progress so i put a safety hole in the egg. Still no progress so i assisted the egg tonight and the egg has now hatched and were just hoping the little one survives. As this egg was incubated until a female, will she take this baby back now and care for it? Cant find any infomation for this on the internet. Thanks

If others have hatched, you can try slipping it back under the mom and she should continue to brood it. I would keep an eye on her when you first give it back to make sure she accepts it.
