I had to help a chick whos membrane was dry and it was stuck but the inside of the shell was bloody its moving and chirping and its still attached to the egg i dabbed a little of cold water on the bleeding i dont know if i messed up and helped to early? Half of the shell was really dry and stuck onto her...

Hmm, I have only hatched once. And I had to assist two chicks, one of the chicks had his shell stuck to his bottom. I had to carefully peel it all off of him, but there was no bleeding.

Is it still bleeding? Just make sure that it doesn't keep bleeding, and that the blood that he does lose isn't a huge amount.

Hello...Why assist?...It was hatching right?..Don't panick.
Birds have been hatching for millions of years..Why did it get dry? Humidity usually keeps eggs moist enough for hatching...Do not help unless it's needed..They rest and zip and rest some more..

Can you post a picture? What was the reason for the assist? Was it stuck and not progressing? These were the eggs where the humidity was too high so the air cells were too small, right? And you were keeping the humidity low until the first one pipped? Did you increase the humidity now?

If it's not bleeding now that's good, but bleeding is a sign it wasn't ready to hatch, so let it be for now. Also you may want to give this article a read: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/guide-to-assisted-hatching-for-all-poultry.72886/

It wasnt able to move it had been stuck for a while it it would try and crack the shell but couldnt move its head. When i helped i broke the shell rubbed vasline on the inside and i let it push itself out of the egg i just panicked another one hatch and had blood all over its shell just like the other so i guess thats normal?
