I had a chick pip around 20 hrs ago, but nothing past that. I could hear a faint peeping from the chick, and some movement, but no further process. I'm a toddler when left alone (lol), and I couldn't help but assist. Got the lil guy out and now it's listless. Hasn't got up and tried to move at all. What do you guys think? Did I make a mistake by assisting? Overall chick looks healthy in appearance (I haven't tried to handle it at all), but breathing, body, legs, everything looks normal. Is my lil chick just tired from possibly not being able to hatch?

Yolk totally absorbed. A very little amount of blood, but nothing that worries me. I've never done this before so I'm kinda freaking lol. I just hope I didn't mess anything up.

I just went back to check on the lil guy/gal and still listless, but it moved about 5 inches from where it was laying before. That could be good, maybe?

let him rest.. when you assist a hatch the chick is normally a little "slow".. they use a lot of muscles during a normal hatch .. so his are a little weak.. plus a lot of newly hatched chicks rest a good bit.. for now just keep him warm and let him take it easy.. if he did lose some blood that would also weaken him a bit.. but if it was just a drop he should be up and around later today

when he is up and drinking you can always add some electrolytes to his water if you still think he needs a boost

Well, lil one is up and about. Flops around a bit, then sleeps. Moves around a bit more, then sleeps. I think we are going to be okay. I was just freaked because I've never had one come out of the egg not moving much! Usually they are flopping around everywhere trying to find their legs. Think this guy is there, just a lil slower.

I'm feeling much better about it now.

If you give him a little drop of polyvisol he should perk right up. But you have to hold his head up until it goes down is little throat. mimicing how they normally drink..
