assisting a hatch...(duckling) UPDATE! Page 2

I also Thank Everyone here. I have one call duck egg hatching. Started with 15. This one is trying so hard and your post Sundown Waterfowl will help me decide what to do. This baby needs to hatch to give me hope that I can do this! My first time hatching shipped eggs. The beak is out and it is peeping off and on between resting. I will probably be up all night. Hope to have a hatch tomorrow. These posts have helped me along the way!

Here it is, still breathing moving and peeping so I think it's doing just fine. I peeled away at the shell, saw the tiniest amount of blood and put it back in the incubator. I wet the membrane and wrapped it in a damp washcloth hoping it'll help itself out, but I'll wait a few hours to decide what to do next..I'm already in love with it

It hatched early this morning, drying off right now. Go to my byc page for pictures and updates. Thanks alot everyone!

Bravo to everyone from baby ducklings, mama's advice givers and the watchers, like me.

I want to hatch some call duck eggs and I've been told that they're difficult to hatch so this will help me tremendously!

Thank you thank you.

Best of Luck Hatching! i am going to try again but it was stressful. Now that I found BYC and all the help on here I am better prepared.

The little one I hatched was pretty amazing. My thermo was wrong the whole time so I threw it away. Power went out one day so the incubator was sitting by the wood stove with warm Rocks inside. Being they are difficult to hatch I cannot beleive this duck is here.
