Assisting a hatch

Also he pipped a few days ago. That’s why I’m worried. How long after he pipped would it be before he needs to come out?
It's entirely dependant on how long he takes to absorb everything. If yawning and chewing, there's still yolk left. Hatching him too soon will be dangerous, so it's best to wait a bit longer. It could be a few hours, it could be a day, just until the yolk is absorbed. He's able to breathe well, and he's still got yolk left, so it should be safe to wait.

I expect your incubator is running cooler than its meant to, which is why this is taking so long.
Do you have a thermometer, what does it read, and is it calibrated?

I have the best luck just freeing their head. I help them straighten out their neck. Then they can lay flat without much chance of getting shrink wrapped. If they have absorbed the yolk and are really to hatch. They kick themselves free of the remaining shell fairly quickly. If it hurts when they try to kick out. They stay still and will not damage themselves.
