The mix is assorted from a hatchery, the green is one I hatched out, her and her sister behind her are from a black astralorp over white leghorn. It's funny because they are from the same parents but they have different leg and feet colours and are different sizes. GREAT layers though
Wow, that's amazing that your hen accepted them!Got some assorted chicks and we're having a hard time figuring out breeds, they're in with one of my hens and she's not big on visitors so I apologize for the less than awesome pictures! The group photo has coloured dots for easy referencing;
Red: noface (sorry, every picture I have of that one has no face... not much to go on there... maybe part demon or vampire?)
Orange: Bella
Yellow: Zombie
Green: Sweet
Blue: Sour
Indigo: Smokey
Violet: Chilli View attachment 1437735 View attachment 1437738 View attachment 1437741 View attachment 1437748 View attachment 1437753 View attachment 1437759 View attachment 1437761
Pink: Specky
White: Baguette
Thoughts on genders would be nice, but I don't have much reference material.

I snuck them into the nest while she was off for a drink and scratch, it was kind of hilarious watching her go back to the nest, she would walk up to it, turn her head sideways, stare for a second, turn around and walk a few steps away and then repeat. It was like she was trying to decide what on earth they were and why they were in her nest. Once she decided that's what her eggs had turned into though she was aaaaaaall momma.Wow, that's amazing that your hen accepted them!
