These feather are only growing out of one side of his head. He is such a funny little chick!
Those are called tufts. They are a characteristic of the Araucana. Yours doesn't appear to be a true Araucana OR Ameraucana. I'd say Easter Egger. Most EE's are mutts and yours seemed to get some part of the tufted gene. Not to mention he has a single comb instead of a pea comb, but as long as you love him.
I bought eggs online from craigs list and E-bay. They were all supposed to be ameracaunas. They were all in green-blue and blue eggs. The sellers could have sent me anything in a pretty shell and I was happy. I just want pretty chicks that lay pretty eggs!
