at 12 weeks?

we have about 25 chickens, and 6 leghorns that are about 12-14 weeks old and they started laying already really small eggs but laying none the less isnt this a little young to start laying?
 
Guess not ,, are you sure that is how old they are?? 12- 14 is young but 16 is young but more common.

I've never heard of 12 week olds laying. A few around 15, but even for the early layers, like leghorns, 16 is the earliest you should be expecting eggs.
 
they were born a week before easter weekend so thats about 14 weeks if my math is right!
