TX baby!
I have a 6 month old Drk Brahma pullet that is acting listless and lethgaric

She has no runny nose, or goopy eyes, normal looking poo, and is eating and drinking though her crop is not full.

Last night she came in from free ranging hopped up on the perch and wanted nothing to do with raisans or cherrys (used as bribery).

This morning she made it as far as 20 feet from the coop turned around and is now sitting untop of a dog kennel/nest box inside the tophat pen . Offered her some food and she ate a little bit. Her eyes are closed and her tail is droopy

She is on Layena layer feed, oyster shell free acess and free ranges during the day from 8-4/5. She has always been on the leaner side. Coop is cleaned weekly and she hasnt started laying yet. She sleeps in a 12x16 ft covered pen with 8 other birds they have 2 water bowls and 3 food bowls

Any ideas?

She will be going to the vet on Monday as he is not in the office today

Abdomen feels normal for her.

Could she have a wound hidden by her feathers? I had a hen who was attacked by a cat and seemed fine afterwards. Turned out she was wounded and it got infected. Smell her for any funky scents.

On it!

Ok not foul smell or injurys flipped her over and look at bottom side and she didnt even flinch (she doesnt let me do this BTW)

On a good note she did come out of the kennel for raisans (her favorite) and now she seems a little perturbed about this whole thing with me checking on her what seems like every 30 minutes or so.

I have this strange feeling I'm going to go out there and she's going to be dead

update;

She is now perching with her mouth open (panting?) its 85 degrees outside with a light breeze (rather pleasant IMO). she is hanging out with her best buddy and seems to be happier now then she was most of the day.

She eats when offered food/water but wont seek it out, crop has some fill to it but not a lot. She skinnier when compared to the other birds

Do i need to bring her in for the night or leave her where she is
