At Home Fecal Float Testing

So, from what I’ve found, you can start with pretty decent, new equipment for about $300. Does this seem right? $45 for centrifuge, $250 for microscope and $10 for supplies.

That’s what my vet would charge for 10 samples, not including my time or mileage. I think that’s a pretty decent investment, not to mention it’s use to diagnose garden pests & diseases...

Sounds about right.

Which model/brand do you have?Do you do fecals on your birds?
I have not done fecals but I am wanting to start doing them on my dogs and puppies. I would also do them on the chickens. My main problem is I don’t have a room to set up as a lab. I want to have everything set up.

Has anyone put together a source for the equipment to do these tests? microscope and possibly centrifuge?
