I have been with T-Mobile for YEARS and I just heard that AT&T is buying them out! I DID NOT sign a contract with AT&T and if this goes thru I will not continue on with AT&T. Its just another monopoly.

Verizon bought up Alltel (I'd been with them at least 15 years) a year or so ago......the world didn't end and I've still got good coverage....now I just make my check out to a different name. It really was no big deal and nothing to get upset about.

I started out in 2000 with Bell South then they became cingular then ATT. Then my husband wanted Alltel and they became verizion. No major complaits along the way.

Sorry I love my ATandT, nothing but good sevices and only ONE time they did an unauthorized gimmick on our phone bill that they did refund our money back and put a block on anyone that tried to use our phone number to "add" things on it that we didn't ask for.

They will honor the current contract you have. Atleast they should. The only company we have ever had issues with is Sprint who decided they did not like my dh having unlimited online usage for $60 a month, and they closed his account. Now no one does unlimited and I miss it. Dh left his computer on all the time with a cam video, and me and the kids could always check in on him.

Our phone contract is up in May,so dh will be shopping for something.

I have had unlimited with Sprint for years and we use it for EVERYTHING with no problems.. Even tethering.. did your hubby have SERO? That might have been the problem. We even use a slingbox and other video heavy apps.

I love sprint - everytime I price out verizon or AT&T with unlimited texting/internet and two phones it's almost double the price. No Iphone, but I love my android phone so it's ok with me.

got a question to ask you all:

Is it a good idea to pay off the contract? We just got ours two weeks ago and with the unpredictablity of hubby's job, is it a good idea to pay it off so we don't have to cut it out of the budget trimming? I don't care about credit ratings, it's all hype and we have excellent credit. We have a two year contract with them.
