At what age do easter eggers develop green legs (if they're going to)?

I'd like to get some green egg layers at some point. If I understand correctly, the green egg layers will have green legs, but not necessarily right away. I don't have room for a large flock, so I don't want to get chicks that will give me more of what I have. Thank you.

Mine had them the day I bought them from the hatchery as day old chicks.

Mine came that way...one set from a hatchery and one set from a lady here near by...

The leg color is not a guarantee of egg color. 3 of my EEs had green legs from the day I bought them at 2 wks old. 1 has bright yellow legs ~ but could still give me blue eggs. My white EE had yellow legs until 2 wks and then they started changing to blue.

So the only way to know I'll get green eggs is to know the parentage, right?

Yes that or wait until you get an egg.
