at what age do they start laying

I have 4 barred rocks and 1 rir. They are 6 month old birds. I am only getting 1 egg per day and i believe the same bird is laying them. Is this normal? Its also cold at night. But fairly warm during the day right now in Georgia.

Bottom line - they will lay when good & ready. Some start early, some are late bloomers. 24 weeks is an average, subject to 'Chicken Law'
