At what age do you switch feed???

I have 7 14 week old girls and was wondering when is a good time to switch to laying hen feed??? Reason I ask mainly is Im about to run out (in a week or so) of our chick starter/grower feed and really do not want to buy another 50lb bag of it.. My local co-op & TSC only carry 50lb or 5lb bags of chick starter.. Will it hurt to switch the girls to the laying feed at like 15 or so weeks???

Some feed companies recommend switching @ 12 weeks! At 12 weeks mine were only beginning to 'cluck' -- only when alarmed. So I think you are good depending on their maturity. You are feeding 'grower' or starter?

I switch my babies from starter to a layer feed just before I expect them to start laying so they get layer food at about 20 weeks.
