I paid for all pullets, but I know it's not guaranteed. The freebie the hatchery tossed in (a Golden Campine) started crowing very early, by 4 weeks old. They rest are two each Buff Orpington, Black Autralorp, Speckled Sussex, Whiting True Blue, Whiting True Green and Gold Lace, Silver Laced and Columbian Wyandottes. A couple of the Whitings look different, kind of eagle-like in profile, but I'm not seeing, or hearing, any indications of sexing errors at 9 weeks old.
Is there an age when I can pretty much figure I got what I paid for?

The Whitings are various colors, tho I think the two that are more reddish brown are the green layers and the darker brown, “eagle” and the black with whitish legs are the blue layers. I think!

The chicken in the first photo (ignore the repeated pic, please!) is also the third chicken back in the second picture. And the chicken in the last picture is the second chicken in that second photo. And the third Whiting (blue?) is in that third photo, standing on the broccoli!
