Ate Styrofoam!

I had a Styrofoam bowl that I was hydrating chick feed and grated carrot gruel. I asked my husband to put it in their treat bowl when I had to go into work. He put the whole bowl in the brooder, instead of scrapping it into the treat bowl. When i got home, the chicks had ate half of the Styrofoam along with the gruel.

I increased the chick grit but is there anything else I can do?

Keep smiling! Chickens love the stuff, and any insulation you can think of. Generally the birds survive these episodes, fortunately.

Yes I've had chicks eat the styrofoam insulation in my brooder and they survived. I did remodel and get rid of it after that though.
