Ate their feet off!!!

Had that happen to some pullets one time they had their toes eaten, they survived but I was REALLY worried about infection but I couldn't wrap their feet because it would just come off. I put a piece of cardboard in their cage and i never had a problem with it again.

The poor kitty, I'm really sad about your birdies...wish it wasn't a cat though, wish it would have been something a lot meaner.

iluvsedward, did you really keep a chicken on a cage or are you making that up? I never heard of anyone keeping a chicken in a cage. When you put cardboard in the cage didn't all the poop stay in there and make the cardboard wet and gross for your chicken with missing toes?

I just don't understand.

they were not full grown and I free ranged them during the day, it was a big rabbit hutch, and there was enough room in there that they didn't poop on it very much at all.
