I identify as an atheist personally, I can't really understand how a god would exist. And don't truly believe in one. However, in hard times, especially times of grief, I find it extremely soothing and comforting to pray, talk to "God," etc...

I imagine most believe something along the lines of what science says, which would be the Big Bang theory.
I'm definitely not a fan of the Intelligent Design that comes with a creator mindset hah.

I'm not an atheist.
I believe mostly in evolution. But I believe God created evolution.

Big bang theory. However, I often spiral into what existed before that, surely nothingness had to exist for it to happen but that nothingness is something not truly nothing because if there was nothing there couldn't have been something so the nothingness wasn't true nothingness it was actually something. And then I start wondering if there is a God where did he exist before he created something because he would of had to exist to do create but how did he exist, when did he start to exist, where did he exist, because in order to exist to create existance he had to be somewhere but that somewhere was no where itherwise he couldn' have created somewhere. You see what I mean?

I haven't done research into this sort of science, but I think that the earth (and otehr planets) were created during the Big Bang/Big Bang Theory, then evolution started when the right factors came together to support life (gases like oxygen being trapped around the planet by the newly formed atmosphere, water, sunlight), and that process of evolution continued, and is still continuing.

Okay, but help me out. There had to be something to go "bang," right? Even science admits that something can't come from nothing. So where did the something come from that went bang?
