I think it's wishful thinking. So what do y'all think about an afterlife, or absence of one?
I’m sorry people have made you feel that wayOne big reason I steer away from Christianity is because the concept of it is just frightening to me. I’m lesbian and according the religion, that deems me not worthy of “gods love.” For being myself I will go to a place of eternal suffering. I simply do not want to be a part of something that tells me I’m not good enough.

I like you!we can be in the outcast club, most of the people here don't like me
And who do you think created the nature all around you?
I like you!
I have felt like an outcast for 17 years in my family; it’s only my brother and I who converted to Atheism, but he is much more relaxed and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He’s less reactive than I am - but my tolerance for frustration can be quite low sometimes. I feel like I was never properly taught as a child how to deal with my issues... when you’re brainwashed to believe that there’s a magical man in the sky who controls everything - well, it’s not conducive with reality and just leads to anger, disappointment and “why am I not good enough?” I get it!
I know you weren't talking to me, but I appreciate that. It's all the "You're going to hell unless you are sraight, cisgender, and believe in god" crap that really does stear me farther away from Christianity.I’m sorry people have made you feel that wayyou should know though that not every Christian is like that and there are those who support it. And even those that don’t still think everyone deserves love. Or they’re supposed to. And they’re supposed to be kind too. All those people put marching around with the huge signs ranting about how you’re all going to hell or assaulting people or whatever are NOT true Christians. They may call themselves one but definitely not. And EVERYONE is worthy of his love, good enough, etc. although we don’t have to be “good enough” for Him. But I’ll stop there before I get too “preachy” or whatever hahah already getting there I fear
but it just made me sad that these so called “Christians” have made you feel that way and I wanted to clear that up. You are definitely loved.
and this is the kind of thing that makes people stray away from labels like that because of how these so called “Christians” misrepresent actual Christianity.
