Atheist/non-religious thread

I guess that is why I wouldn't say that I don't care. I mean if there was a vengeful, petty, insecure, and jealous god out there, I would be pretty concerned. Fortunately, it is likely these stories likely just come from an outdated document created by people to control people.
If I believed that there was a vengeful, petty, insecure and jealous god out there I would either be an a-hole or jump off of a bridge. Life is fricken hard with very few true highs. All we can do is be decent and hope to attract decent. Lately... it has been REALLY fricken hard to find decent. They seem to all be staying home and being respectful of others (ya know, the ol' love thy neighbor thing...?) or just quietly humble. Seems like I have been running into a bunch of a-hole "warriors" who are loud and proud (and no smarter than box of rocks IMO) who have really taken a lot of joy out of EVERYONES life. Shame, shame.
*** so yes, document to control

Huh! This is interesting (albeit, an old survey):

In the U.S., atheists are mostly men and are relatively young, according to the 2014 Religious Landscape Study. About seven-in-ten U.S. atheists are men (68%). The median age for atheists is 34, compared with 46 for all U.S. adults. Atheists also are more likely to be white (78% vs. 66% of the general public) and highly educated: About four-in-ten atheists (43%) have a college degree, compared with 27% of the general public.
The only thing that I match with is that I'm white lol
I'm not male, I'm not anywhere near 34, and I don't have a college degree lol

Well I'm kinda busy rn but I can type it all out in a little bit.
Edit: just to clarify, I have no "absolute" evidence but have enough evidence to base my beliefs off of.
If you have no absolute evidence, then all you have is faith, which is fine. HOWEVER, when we clearly don't have that same faith, it's pointless to try to use it as a tool.

I think the sad thing is that if I said that I was literally any religion besides Christianity, I wouldn't be asked for proof that I was right. Heck, if I said I followed the Greek Pantheon (which I did for a while) I thing I'd still be good to go
unless you were muslim. there is waaay too much islamophobia in the US
