Atkins/Low Carbers Support

Atkins is the only diet i can really do. All the others are to sloooow and i get too hungry on them. If i dont see a real weight loss on the scale weekly i just simply quit..on Atkins i always saw weight loss..if i stuck to the diet and stayed in Ketosis (sp?). I need to do it again now..for a loooong time.

Any diet that you can eat bacon and eggs on and still lose weight works for me!

Hey Wifezilla...I made your Peanut Butter Fudge last night, and had a piece this morning. It's yummmmmmmy

It will definitely take care of those pesky chocolate cravings (I can't have sugar-free chocolate sweetened with maltitol). I had to make a tiny substitution though...I looked all over and couldn't find Coconut Milk, but I did find Coconut Oil. So I used the oil and some cream. I guess it worked....LOL.

I also bought everything I needed to make your Chicken and Egg Drop Soup. I'll probably make that today...I can't wait!

I'm so glad I stumbled on this thread. I was getting ready to have a BISCUIT!!! I am having a bad morning and was just going to make it worse. Thanks for having this, I needed it...

I think having a support group can make all the difference. I did my best when I was on a low carb forum, but they closed it down and not too long after that, I started sneaking sugar and bad carbs into my diet...and then the cravings hit me like a ton of bricks and I gained a ton of weight back. Now, I'm re-committed and I'm looking forward to trying new yummy recipes and getting excited about my food again

Man, I'd be in a carbohydrate coma if I did that! Sounds good though.

I had an Atkins choc shake this morning. Yay! more people, we can use the support!

I haven't really watched my carb intake for a couple of years (at least not as much as I used to). I really need to go back to it because it has worked very well for me in the past. When I was a strict vegetarian and worked at a natural foods store, my health got very bad. My cholesterol and blood pressure skyrocketed and I developed Diabetes. The first time I had my A1C checked, it was almost 10%!! If you look at the labels of the products in natural foods stores, a lot of them are chalk full of carbs. They will say they are "sugar free", but have a ton of carbs from other sources.

I did lose 18 pounds last summer while we were living in Thailand. My diet there was quite a bit different. Truthfully, we did eat a lot of rice and pasta there. We also though ate *tons* of fresh fruits and vegetables. A typical meal was a fruit plate and a small amount of pasta with fresh vegetables, chicken, and eggs.

No...I don't mind a bit.

Glad you liked it. You guys also might want to try the instant ice cream recipe. It is a little carby, but the carbs come from very healthy frozen blueberries.

I am also working on a fudge pop recipe. I think I almost have it perfected
