Atomic Powers [Part 2]

5...4...3..2..1. Shadow could feel a rumble underneath his feet as the subway station exploded from the C4's he had planted in the walls of one of the bathroom stalls. As if from hell, shadow could hear the screams of terror, pain and agony ring in his head. He chuckled at the many lives that were lost. This, would certainly bring attention.

I opened the book, Dark Room and read to him the tales of Hilde, the great warrior who was born in an underground jail. Daren’s eyes were glowing as he sat on the edge of his bed. “What happened next?” He asked agog. I chuckled, “I’ll finish the story tomorrow. I promise.” I tucked him in the bed next to mine and pecked the top of his head. “Goodnight Daren.” I whispered, before I blew the candle, and the room became dark and silent.
A loud cacophonous from the kitchen woke Daren up. He looked at his father wondering if he was still asleep and then heard him snore. Grabbing the lantern and lighting the inside with a match, there appeared a small flame that gradually expanded and slightly warmed Daren’s hand. He walked towards the door making sure not to cause any creaks from the floorboard that would wake his father. Vigilantly, he opened the heavy door until he kept it open with his foot and then turned around and softly closed it with a small “thud”. He was now in the hallway with two doors on each side and then a single door a while’s way in front of him that led to the dining room. The kitchen was the second door on the right, the place Daren knew for sure he had heard the noise.

Sabine gasped as the subway station gave out a large BOOM, and there was utter panic from the crowd. She clutched the bag of books tightly and sprinted against the crowd, down to where the explosion occurred. Part of the ceiling was crumbling, causing more panic from the crowd. There was a great effort for Sabine as thick trees sprang up as supports.

Heath looked up from his work repairing the electric grid for the city. Most of it was back, but some areas were having blackouts. The ground shuddered as a deafening roar of explosions and screaming. The force probably knocked out more electricity too, he growled in his mind. He got out to the road, which was being filled with havoc of people. Was it Shadow who did this? If so, he better watch his back.

Cass covered her head as the subway shook from the explosion. A huge piece of the ceiling came crashing down only two feet in front of her. She bit her tongue to keep from screaming.

Julie ran from the explosion area to a safer place. "S***" she muttered to herself. Shadow was really making her PO'd. She had her own suspicions about who it might be, but kept it to herself and just focused on stopping him.

Shadow looked at his watch and then dashed out of the building. A black car stopped next to him on the sidewalk and he entered it after the door automatically opened. "Good work." A familiar voice sounded next to him.

((idk... Oh Mah Gawsh will prob. be on after school, so hold tight))

Sabine tried to get a little bit of order in all of the panic. She tried to organize people, and return missing children that got separated from their parents... If they're still alive. she thought grimly. There were two little kids, siblings, next to her. Their names were Will and Ada, and she stood by one of the exits, where people would see them. She was distracted, and one of the limbs of the tree weakened and snapped off, taking part of the ceiling with it. More mass panic erupted, and the tree grew several more limbs back in the missing one's place. The strain made her go to her knees in pain. All of her energy was being mopped up. She saw Cass in the crowd where the ceiling fell. "A little help here?"
