Attaching hardware cloth to frame

i have a quail enclosure frame built up and will be installing the hardware cloth on it this weekend and wondered what would be best before I go try and fail.. lol... so I was thinking either just stapling on with my pneumatic staple gun (thinner staples)or my hand staple gun (thicker staples) or screws??

We just used staples, but we screwed painted trim over top for a “pretty” sandwich effect.

I just use a hand staple gun and it works great

Just be careful with a hand staple gun. Depending on predator situation, a raccoon will rip those staples out very easily.

If you use pneumatic staples make sure they are galvanized so the don’t rust.

I used screws with pretty large washers. I like the washers being in contact with a large area of the HC. I started with some staples and they pulled out fairly easy and the HC would break easier because there is only one little tiny section of the HC that is in contact with the staple.
