I used staples with my hardware cloth, but I really wish now that I would have used screws.i have a quail enclosure frame built up and will be installing the hardware cloth on it this weekend and wondered what would be best before I go try and fail.. lol... so I was thinking either just stapling on with my pneumatic staple gun (thinner staples)or my hand staple gun (thicker staples) or screws??

What is the sandwich technique please?I spaced mine every 8". But I've got a high population of raccoons.
In corner area's I put one on each side of the to double the protection.
On my apron I used the "sandwich" technique. Figured that would be the most likely tried point of entry.

I get it .thanku.Sandwich technique is to attach a piece of trim along the edge on the HC. The HC will be " sandwiched" between the trim and coop structure.
Are the screws galvanized?
