attaching the chicken ramp onto the coop?

Ok so I am all ready to let my girls out our there new coop door but I'm a little concerned with the hook and eye set up that I decided to use for their ramp .. It originally seemed like a good idea but it now just seems like the ramp is too far away from the coop wall... Has anyone had any issues with birds getting caught up in the gap? Or does anyone have any ideas how to het the ramp more flush with the wall but still keeping it removable?

Thanks...:/

I screwed L-braces to the bottom of the ramp, bent them to accommodate for the angle of the ramp (from 90deg to maybe 50deg), and attached metal fittings on the wall, they were sort of handle shaped, but smaller: _|''''''''|_ (bought them for another use at the hardware store initially)

Hi all,

I just wanted to thank all of you who gave input to building ramps. I am building mine tonight and all of this input will be useful! Special thanks to chaschkn for the link to Wichita Cabin Coop. Great idea! I think I am going to use that one!

Thanks
