Attack of the beady eyed demon, update #3 of FrenchHen the wimp page 5

When I was growing up in Germany.. my sister got a garter snake .. kepts it in terrarium without a cover on it..One day my mom was in the bathroom and apparently the gartersnake got out.. had babys and they where all over the house.. all we heard was my mom screaming and her running out of the bathroom with her pants around her ankles .I never forget that face she made.

The only time I've ever come to harm via serpents was when , like Toredano's sister, I was somewhat too casual with some `pets'. My mother did not scream, when she saw those little Garters crawling toward her through the shag as she read the paper while stretched out on the floor, as they approached her (heads and upper bodies raised up like cobras) she gave my brothers and I the LOOK and followed with the `lash' (so to speak and it is not like we didn't deserve more).

So, I didn't feel like sitting down the rest of the day

Yes, snakes CAN be dangerous.

Garters crawling through shag, now there's a picture.

Still hoping for an answer to the original question. Will the ducks discourage the snakeys?

That, deerfriend, was sarcasm.
I'm grateful that those buggers are the biggest snakes we have seen on the property.
I'm even more grateful that we have nothing poisonous.

Still, they scare the wastewater outta me when they frighten me.

Is this the dastardly demon?

If so, be aware that they are very dangerous and capable of eating the most poisonous creature on earth, the dreaded Rough Skinned Newt:

If you find another one, please feel free to call on your friendly neighborhood NW gartersnake abatement professional:

Who will relocate it to a secret location - also known as "My Property"

I really really want him, I promise to feed him and take care of him and love him FOREVER! Well, maybe not, but he'd be welcome to all of the mice currently inhabiting my new house

Ok, one box of snakes to JennsPeeps as a wedding gift, and one box to AngieChick for a housewarming gift.

But will my ducks chase them off?

We have a blue million of them here. On a good day you can EASILY find a half dozen or more lurking about being sneaky.
