Attack of the Killer Dog

I unfortunately have had 3 Chickens to get killed by my next door neighbors dog. 2 others have been injured. This is going on 3 weeks now. One of the chickens that was injured will look fine one day and the next day like he/she can barely move. I don't know if it is a hen or a rooster yet. I'm brand new to this entire thing. Got baby chicks for Easter for my kids and now I love them just as much as they do. Anyway, the chicken has diareah and looks kinda pale. Do you think that it has internal injuries and if so, should I keep letting it suffer or see if it will recover fully? I don't really see any wounds that are terrible except for a wrip in the top of the wing. I don't think that will ever heal and if it is even possible for it to heal. Do you think it is still in shock? Please help, I just don't know what to do.

Yes, your bird CAN heal...you'd be amazed...
I'd give the neighbours a piece of my mind though, since this seems to be an ongoing thing...

A hurt bird will need to be kept warm and in a stress free environment...

We talked to the neighbor and he was very appologetic and is going to buy us some more chickens. We did however put an electric fence around the pen so that the predators on the outside will feel the shock, but not the chickens on the inside. I'm sure the dog will be very surprised the next time she comes and pays us a visit. Hopefully this will solve the problem. I just hope that the poor chickens will be ok. They just look so dirty. We have been cleaning the wounds with saline solution and putting spay on it and gave them a shot of penicilan for infection. Do you think it would be possible to bath the chicken and if so, will it put it back into shock??

Remember to keep the soil under the electric fence damp. If you forget to do this the fence may have no affect on the predator. And keep the grass and weeds from touching the wire, this will short out the fence.
