Well I just got done using an aquarium incubator just out of curiosity. Started 6 GLW eggs from Florida, 2 were infertile, so 4 viable eggs. Went through the 21 day cycle, the temp was constantly fluctuating but managed to maintain close temps and humidity. The 2 eggs hatched a day late, the other 2 developed but died in shell. Thought I would show off my efforts. :celebrate

Wow! Congrats! Adorable chicks! Would you mind sharing a picture of your incubator?

Well I did started to take pictures of it and totally got distracted, I don't have pics of the full setup.
I wrapped foil around the tank and placed cardboard cut outs for lining of the tank, place light fixture, thermostat, bowl of water in it. Used 1/2 inch wire cloth to create a platform and placed the eggs on it. Used a cardboard cut out for the lid. I am surprise it worked.

I spent about less than $20 for the build up.

Wow! That's awesome!

I don't recommend using this method if your a serious hatcher. I was constantly adjust the temperature, kind of a pain. :(

Yeah, I just wanted to see the setup. That's pretty cool they hatched. It's hard messing with those things all the time.
