I've never seen a Polish that looked like he could see very well. That's why mine never lasted very long, even the one that followed a silkie around...

I found this thread from your signature, too. Also, why do people keep bunnies? I understand like a suburban family that wants a pet, but on a farm....? "Cow, goat, chicken, sheep... BUNNY?!"

Now I shall go put in 5 more votes. lol.

Some people keep rabbits for commercial reasons such as meat and fur. However, many just have them as pets (very easy maintenance for farms), while there are also many who keep them for show. Some people dedicate all of their free time to showing rabbits. A lot of adults breed and judge rabbits as side jobs. Are you going to make a ton of money off of doing this? No. It has just become a popular activity. If you don't make money, why would you want to do this? The answer is, no one knows! Some people do it for reputations, but most of them actually enjoy it! It's not just children who show mind you, the most dedicated people are all adults of all ages. Overall, they make low maintenance pets, are easy to breed and sell, and make one of the best animals to show professionally.

Don't worry, I hijacked it OUT OF CONTROL! I had some rabbits once, but one figured out how to unhook her and everyone else's cages. They were yard bunnies for about 9 months, then they disappeared. They came to their cages to eat then just ran off. We have two wild rabbits under our barn now.

I tried to adopt a rabbit once. I told the lady I was planning on keeping it outside (in a hutch) but letting him out on a leash (we had one from our others) to run around in the grass everyday. Well, apparently Riley County animal shelter thinks that a bunny would be much happier inside your house in a dirty little cage, never to know what grass is. Sorry Manny, I still love you! My best friend breeds rabbits and she told me I could have one if I wanted.
