Oh no is this contest for best groomed horse? Pray for the white/grey/paint horse owners like myself
Agreed! Especially us Paint/gray horse owners who keep our horses outside and thus have horses with a coat about 2 in. long! Tuesday, I went to get my Paint to ride and he was covered in mud! :barnie

PS: Ketchup works MIRACLES in getting a horse's white hairs snow white.

I have a palomino, but she's blanketed all thru the winter, is stalled, and is already a neat horse so I don't have much cleaning to do :p

Lucky duck! I am rather jealous right now! My horses and mini donkey think getting themselves absolutely filthy right before I ride them or right after I groom them is just the greatest thing. My donkey is the worst about it, he probably rolls like 5 times a day. In the summer the poor fella has short patches in his otherwise long coat because he rolls in cockleburs and the only way to remove them is to cut them out.

I wont lie, I am lucky. Shes 5 and a reiner, shes currently learning the ranch riding and ranch trail though. Shes calm, talented, & beautiful. I have no idea how I ended up with her 😳. My previous house foundered and died at 17 promptly after purchasing Tink, so I like to think that she was holding on until I got Tink (palomino) The horse I had before was a red roan mare, she was 17 and had to be put down within 2 months of foundering with NO previous issues at all. Its hard to feel lucky after I had had that mare for so long and she was such an amazing girl...

Anyway, on a less sad note.. sorry for doing that.. My red roan who foundered was very messy. She was a show horse too so stalled and blanketed but she got poop and pee wherever she could on herself :tongue
