Nervous new hatcher here! Day 18, just put eggs in lock-down. Temp at 99.8 and 89% humidity, I know humidity needs to be lower but figue it will lower by the time they hatch on Sun. Any tips, I am a nervous wreck LOL

I would lower NOW!!!! Humidity to 65 to 70 percent relative humidity and not let it vary much.
 
How long do you wait before you assist in a hatch?

I had a lil guy externally pip this am, he's rocking and cheeping, but no zipping. How will I know of he needs help?

start reading in my siggy below is the hatching 101 and the assist article, PLEASE PLEASE REFER TO THE TIMELINE OF A SILKY HATCHING, they can vary in time!! typically they external pip they can get out. so read read read the process first!
 
We are still in day 20 until 6pm this evening. So far, 8 little fluffy butts running around and 5 more pipped! One of the pips has a beak and a tow hanging out. Hope that isn't a problem, but I can see her still working at it. So far everything else looks fantastic.
