The chickens still haven't come out of the coop. They are terrified of the stuff. Truly little southern chickens.

I figure this is winter's last hoorah. We always get one last burst of cold, nasty weather. This should be it. I'm ready to start planting things, so I hope this is it!

No snow here yet, but we got LOTS of rain yesterday and today. The Cape Fear River is expected to crest on Wednesday at flood stage. Thank goodness we live outside of the flood plain.

It's because in the south they close down whole entire towns due to snow, even if it is a quarter inch. That is what they did in my town of Newport TN. Good luck finding milk in bread in the stores....LOL

Gotta be kidding!! My GF and our DS's are going to leave on Wed to drive down to Mufreesboro to visit another childhood GF and escape the snow! Can't be happening! We were packing t-shirts and light pants!

As for the bread and milk thing, I went to college in Buffalo, NY and our idea of blizzard necesssities were beer and wings. Maybe a few good movies.

It's okay. A good chunk of it was melted by dark. By Wednesday they are forecasting temps in the high 50s. Thursday is to be in the 60s and Friday in the 70s. It'll all be gone tomorrow. That's why it's fun!
