Even though I've only had mine a few days that was all it took for me to fall hopelessly in love with these birds!

They are so sweet and docile, they are down right lovable! They are every bit as much a kitten as any of my silkies and almost as soft! The color they bring to my flock is unrivaled!

And yet, when I tried to google Red Shouldered Yokohamas there is very little info. Even here on BYC there isn't much mention of them.

These birds are so beautiful and full of so much character it's hard to believe that more people haven't fallen in love like I have!

So, to all the Yokohama owners out there lets get this thread kickin so that others can see what we already know! Post pictures and stories of your birds so we can really start to get the word out!

Here are pictures of my pair. They are 3-4 months old.

The cockerel, already getting some long tail feathers.

After hatching hundreds of eggs over the past few years, I got this throw-off.

Look at all of that barring! the others that hatched had very little & most had none.

OMG! Look at all the colorful beauties running around behind you! And the tail on your boy! Indeed

A friend of mine had a hen just go broody. I might have to look into those for her...
