Was wondering if anyone has used the Atwood's chick starter? I see that and a 5 lb of chick starter by Manna. The Atwood's brand is just 3 dollars more but is 25 lb. Also is grogel useful has anyone ever used this supplement? Thanks in advance.

I use Purina Start and Grow for my chicks. It comes in medicated and unmedicated, I use the medicated. The Manna Pro stuff if pretty expensive for the same thing I get from Purina. A 50# bag costs me about $12.

I've used 20 lb and 40 lb bags of Armada, a local Michigan feed, Purina and TSC's Purina; DuMor. Hungry chicks don't seem to care as long as it's in their feeder. I actually prefer Armada because of the price. Did you carefully read the nutrition labels of each to compare them?
