AUCTION Barred Plymouth Rock ~10+~Stukel Lines-GONE!

wow, my pulse was racing on this one especially when my computer lagged on the last bid.

When my computer rolled over to noon, MyHappyChicks bid popped up, then a few seconds later, BarredRocker's bid came in. SO, so close! I mean, they were back to back, but noon hit, then MHC's bid, then BarredRocker's. Hate that stupid lag time, BUT the BYC time says that Barred Rocker is the winner here. Amazing that you made the EXACT cut-off time! We have to go by the post time on the forum. Golly, you guys were right on top of each other!!!

Congratulations to BarredRocker! Will do everything in my power to see that you have a good hatch, of course.

Thanks Speckledhen. To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure I got there in time. I was sweating it out but I am so so exctied about this. I've been looking for this quality of Barred Rocks for a long time. Now I"ll be a nervous wreck until hatch day. lol

That was a really close run to the end. Congrats on the win. I think it was for the best. Probably wouldn't have been made the east meets West trip to good.

Thanks MrHappyChicks. My computer was nearly on your side. It lagged about 10 seconds before placing the bid. And actually shipping eggs via postal service is a risk no matter where you live. It only takes one clumsy postal worker to ruin everything. I"ve had 90% hatch rateds and 0% hatch rates on shipped eggs. If I get at least a 50% out of this one I'll be ecstatic.

It was quite the race between you two guys! Congrats BarredRocker!

Cliff, sometimes, depending on where in CA you are, packages can take extra long, even with priority mail. I have a friend in the Cottonwood area and it takes up to 5 days, even with Priority Mail-no idea why, it just does. I've sent her eggs on several occasions and there is no rhyme or reason for it, other than that particular route. We tried it Express once (she paid for that) and even that took 3 days! We got a refund on the shipping, needless to say. Anyway, I appreciate your interest.

Cynthia, that is so very true. Good part is just looked up Marvin's address on Google and could be at his place in about 6 hours. Think I will be giving him a call tonight when the wife isn't around......better for my health if she doesn't know.

Thanks
Cliff
