auction today :) any suggestions?

I'm headed to the traralgon market today to look at getting a new hen to go with my barred rocks. I don't know what they have but probably the usual isa browns and silkies, I think I read leghorns, barred rocks and anconas somewhere.

What do you recommend I look out for? I would ideally like a white egg layer so I can distinguish them

I don't care about breed, I'd be quite worried about health. Don't buy any bird you can't examine to be sure it has no lice, etc. And you need the ability to fully quarantine any new birds. Personally, I'd be lax in the quarantine area if I got the bird from a friend or someone I could see the flock and premises, but no way on earth would I put an auction bird in with my flock.
