Not bad at all for shipped eggs!!!!!! Can't wait to see how they develop! I know with my really dark eggs that I had (Marans eggs but they are F1 OE chicks) the only way I could tell was to watch for a bit and see a shadow move, well guess a darker spot get slightly less dark or slightly darker. LOL Most I just left in but as time went on I could see the change in light of the chick moving in there so I pretty much knew on most but left in case I was wrong.Candled and removed 9 scrambled eggs from the incubator. That leaves me 21 outta 30 so far...all have seen development besides my 4 copper maran eggs...CANT SEE SH*T IN THERE!!
I'll recandle sometime next wk.... its day 6 almost day 7.
Of the 9 I cracked open...7 of them had no yolk ..like it was all mixed in with the whites...(scrambled)
2 had yolks and they were HUGE, but no sign of any life that developed.... I assume those were clears...
These are not horrible odds for shipped eggs...

Lol yes still hatching. On my last hatch. Trying to get certain breeds and colored layers. I have kept 1-2 from each hatch and sold the rest. Right now I have 2 that are 15/16 weeks that I need to find homes for, think both are roos. Then have 5 that are 8 weeks will keep 1-2 depending on who is a roo, 4 that are almost a week old and 12 in the incubator.
I love watching them wiggle around!I have 20 eggs now. One of the maran eggs was scrambled.
3 are showing life...
The twins are moving around happily...but I know it's just a matter of time
I don't have the heart to just toss it
I'll candle again Wednesday or Thursday or Tuesday or sunday...or whatever
This is my favorite part..watching them squirm abt.
