5 chicks total now, 8 pips still...and counting

Hatch day wasn't until tonight!!! So I am hopeful the remaining eggs will still pip!

6 chicks now, and 11 pips (if I counted right)
Ones is still in the incubator...

(That's one thing I don't like abt incubators in general...they get crowded so fast!)

My shipped order came, 11 boys and 5 girls.
Below are the 2 that I hatched.

I am broodering them in this cabinet I found on the side of the road.

12 chicks, and only one eggs left to pip..
6 pipped eggs...waiting their turn I suppose

I've already taken the shell out...mainly bc I expect more chicks by morning and we don't need to add to the obsticle course that is already there

Hatching has ended.
I started with 30 eggs
20 showed development
Twins didn't make it...but we're so so close in my opinion...just facing each other and likely couldn't pip or even get to the right position.

Out of 20 that went into lock down
18 hatched

With a 60% hatch rate for the total egg count
Not counting the scrambled or cleared I ended up with a 90% hatch rate with shipped eggs using the dry hatch method...(only my shipped eggs hatched!)

I am pleased...

Pics tomorrow I hope...
They are all currently doing the "dead sleep" thing and resting

I do have pics of the twins if anyone is interested in seeing them....

Most doubles only make it to day 10.
I had a triple one time. 2 were fertile, one was not. One of the 2 remaining yolks only made it to day 10. The last yolk made it to day 17 which was amazing.

First pic, if you squeeze them back together thay is how they were in the egg...

Second pic is to better show their size...which I can't believe actually fit in a 52g egg
