The daddy is in my avatar and momma is either my delaware or possibly my BR
I believe it is my Delaware momma ! what color are delawares at birth anyone know that'll help POSSIBLY!!!

It was funny I almost thought about helping the lil feller with the outside shell! BUT I was too late momma was helping it ! Great momma! it is 1hr old and already dry!

I put eggs in 19 and 18 days ago today, i purchased a new bator sunday and i have let it regulate the temperature since then. I decided today to go ahead and put both batches in the new bator for lockdown at once. Much to my suprise i could hear chirping and i even have one of the day 18 eggs that have cracked a hole in the shell already! This is my first time incubating eggs so im pumped up! Lol

well I look in breed index delaware chicks are yellow and leghorn chics are a darker yellow with some brown on wings
and course BR are black w white spot
so we c when it fluffs up lol Its about gotta be BR chick

i'm getting eggs in the mail hopefully tomorrow and thurs

then some more next week ( because they cant fill the order until monday ) I have a question i was reading on here that during periods of high heat that some people dont let the eggs set in house after shipping but go straight to the incubator but dont turn them for the first 3 days or so. does anyone know if this is a good idea and how hot is the outside temps before this is something to do? the eggs are coming from Florida, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. i'm in Texas.

I will also be hatching in Septemeber!
I'm incubating Button Quail eggs ( again

) and 2 chicken eggs.

I got another egg BR also I believe that is into the air bubble I can hear it cheep cheep cheeping!!!
how ling does it take to get through the air and start pipping ?Anyone


I figured out the 1st chick is a cross of the leg horn daddy of course but from my BR hen, its a pullet too !!!! I am so excited I won't be able to sleep tonight

Well it looks like my little babies are hatching after all....when I got home from work yesterday evening, I had 7 and more eggs seem to be hatching..will update as I get more.
