they usually don't hatch right after they pip...they might.....usually not for hoursI've got a pip! now I hope it doesn't hatch til tomorrow.last chick I had hatch on day 19 died from prolapse LOL I must be the only one that doesn't want my chicks to hatch yet.
No it would not be a recovery group but more of an egg swap.....Hello my name is (name hear) and I am a fowl hatch-aholic. I have (fill in # of fertile eggs and breed here) and I am interested in swapping with anyone that has (fill in breed of bird here).
Our 36 Speckled Sussex were locked down on Wednesday and today is day 21. DH said he saw some rocking eggs this morning when he checked. He will be checking them again on his way back from work. Hopefully in a the next few days we will have some chicks.

it's the best isn't it...watching the hens with their babies? I have a momma with 4 one month olds...makes me feel sorry for my babies that don't have that freedom because they have no protector...we don't dispose of our roos either...if we can't rehome them they stay with us...we fenced in a third of an acre just for the birds lol...we love them!
