August Hatch-A-Long!

it's hard to tell from the picture but your saying the bottom so you mean the pointy end? since it can breath ( it got the shell open) "I" would wait a while because after they pip it takes hours before they are actually ready to hatch...but I'm pretty sure you will end up needing to assist...wait until tomorrow and see if anything changes but I'm really certain it's not ready to come out of the shell

Chicks 1&2 3 rd has just arrived but exhausted he had a job getting out 1 egg left

and do keep the humidity up now because once that shell gets open the membrane dries!! 70% or a little higher since it pipped through the outer membrane

The pip is on the large end towards the bottom (what the eggs are on), the X is on the large end towards the top. Nothing is going on towards the pointy end. I suppose I'm concerned bc he's not coming out the lowest point in the air cell (where I marked the X) and he "looks" to be "upside down" to me.

I have a cpl with 5 toes a cpl without. Not unusual on project birds. I can breed it in easy.

ok... I know it's a little premature to worry... he's just stayed with his little beak halfway out for an awfully long time now. On a higher note, I see more visible cracks in other eggs, so they're getting close to pipping out.

We're on day 14 here and the anxiety and excitement is kicking in! I've weeded out many and have 9 left of the 15 I started with. I think it was 15 lol. I added two into the bator that I found in a nest yesterday, they had veins starting and one had a little movement. I'm on pins and needs for the 21st!!!
