Yah! My big day is Tuesday....and my 1st hatch of chicks as well!!!

I believe you can .....

I put it in yesterday as an experiment :)
Oh such a sad sad day at the Parmer farm. We came home from my mother's, weren't gone an hour and a half. As we were pulling in the driveway, we saw a hawk carrying off one of my bantams. He dropped it at the fence line. Walked out to see who it was and it was my favorite little rooster, Ninja. And we can't find the beautiful little bantam pullet. :hit My son is a wreck. Says that life's not fair and why did God have to make creatures that kill others?

Oh Noooooooo!!!! Perhaps you should make a shelter for your birds so they can quickly run under it, I have never had a problem with hawks. Just make even a big board on top of some sturdy bricks, so your birds can hide under it... We built my coop off the ground, so my chickens stay around there + we have a deck for then to go under.

So perhaps a few little shelters would help your little bantams...:)

I have had 5 out of 7 eggs hatch in my brinsea mini advance incubator, the other 2 are still in the incubator but havent pipped yet

they are so cute!!
also they are light sussex off my own breeding hens

Yeah, I hate it when one day the chick is thriving, nice vibrant blood flowing veins next it is as dead as a door knob. Incubating is tricky, everything has to be just right...
